Overview of Langtang Valley Trekking:
If forests and jungle trails are what fascinates you, then the Langtang Valley Trekking is it! Langtang Valley Trek is the nearest trek from Kathmandu. It brings you to the foot of the Nepalese Himalayas through fantastic jungle trails and lush green valleys.
The Langtang Valley is home to the Sherpa and Tamang people who are known for their hardworking attitude and friendly nature. During the Langtang trek, we can see their unique lifestyle and centuries-old traditions. Furthermore, the Kyanjin Gompa a legendary Buddhist monastery awaits our visit.
The Langtang Valley Trek is an adventure suitable for easy to medium-level trekkers. It is however advised to do some light exercise before participating in this amazing trek to avoid muscle soreness, pain, and other issues.
This trekking in Langtang Valley is suitable for the whole year. However, nature lovers are recommended to take this journey from September to November or from March to May. Peregrine Treks staff will suggest you the best seasons to do the Langtang Valley Trek during your booking or inquiry.

The Langtang Valley Trekking Route:
With a drive to Syabrubesi located in the Rasuwa district of Nepal, the Langtang Valley Trek starts. Crossing Dunche, we will arrive at Syabrubesi. On the way, we get to see our first glimpses of the hilly Nepali landscapes.
Along with remote villages and rice paddy fields, the Langtang Trek starts from Syabrubesi. The adventure begins as we head along the Langtang Khola (River) through forests filled with rhododendron trees and various wildlife.
Heading towards the Lama Hotel, a vibrant village in the forest receives travelers with every hospitality. As we travel further towards the Langtang village, the views of the mighty Nepali Himalayas and mountains become clearer.
Passing by Ghoda Tabela the Langtang Lirung, Tsergo Ri, and the Yala Peak come into view. This journey is fantastic and it becomes even more so once the massive Langtang Glacier comes in sight!
We continue our walk towards Kyanjin Gompa. We stay an extra day at Kyanjin Gompa for acclimatization. On the rest day, we will be exploring the monasteries, cheese factory, and a hike to Tserko Ri. From the viewpoint of Tserko Ri, we can witness a mesmerizing view of mountains and glaciers.

Then we return to Lama hotel passing Langtang Village and Mundu. From there, we will be trekking south back to Syabrubensi. The next day, we will drive back to Kathmandu which will take about seven to nine hours. Upon reaching Kathmandu, we will get back to our respective hotels and cherish a short enjoyable trek.
Upon the traveler’s request, Peregrine Treks & Expedition can take you up to the Ganjala Pass. The trek will end once we reach Helambu.
